That 914 looks like potentially a really good deal. I can’t believe how rust ridden those cars can get. So if it really is rust free, and has a good transmission and engine, it’s not bad.
I say the xk8 is NP. The xk8 are apparently not the worst ownership experience. Once you take care of all of the chain tensioners, then apparently problems are pretty limited to a handful of electronic issues that one forum in particular that has really great info on fixing most of them. Now if for some reason this person got really proactive and had changed the chain tensioners, this would be super nice price.

I’m a sucker for the XK8 and the 914 doesn’t seem like a bad deal either considering Porsche prices. The 12 cylinder tho... KEEP IT.
